We’re creating a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment where people can work and thrive.
Agriculture feeds and nourishes the world. We believe that it can transform the lives of our communities, consumers, and employees around the world.
Our most valuable asset is our people and their passion – the driving force behind our large and diverse business.
We seek to create a safe and inclusive workplace that supports diversity and equity. Providing a safe and healthy environment, where people’s rights are respected are essential foundations to our approach.
Improving Global Workforce Nutrition
Our workforce nutrition programme aims to improve nutritional outcomes for our employees and support their well-being as well as productivity at work. We have conducted a baseline assessment for 63 of our worksites spread across 17 countries covering a workforce strength of more than 12,000 people.
Employee Health & Well-Being
We focus on the physical health and well-being of our people as we believe that a thriving workforce drives productivity. We continuously engage employees and roll out tailored local or regional initiatives that seek to address their needs, including mental health and wellness.
Investing in Worker Knowledge & Safety
We recognise the importance of investing in our people to ensure they are trained to use tools and machinery correctly, safely, and consistently. Our culture of continuous improvement empowers employees to take decisive actions and recognise opportunities for process improvements, supported by globally recognised standards and best practice.
Fostering Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We are committed to creating a stronger, more inclusive culture because we believe that it drives innovation, creativity and better business outcomes. We have set global targets to achieving 30% women in management roles globally, and 60% national talent in managerial roles within Africa and Asia by 2030.
Building a Strong & Healthy Workforce in Ghana
As part of our goal to improve access to nutrition programmes for our entire workforce by 2030, our Workforce Nutrition Programme aims to reduce malnutrition and promote healthier eating habits. In Ghana, we provide high-quality, fortified rice, “Royal Aroma Fortified” to our employees.
Rich in vitamins, iron, zinc, and other minerals, this has helped combat malnutrition in the workplace, and ensures our employees have the necessary nutrients to thrive and succeed. We have conducted nutrition training for 600 factory employees in Ghana to help them understand the importance of balanced diets on improved health and productivity.
