Bringing Joy and Hope to Orphaned Children with Generous Donations
A demonstration of employee commitment to community welfare.
Douala, Cameroon – This festive season, Olam Agri Cameroon, has launched the second edition of its “End of Year Donation” drive, bringing hope and joy to local orphanages. The initiative, driven by the unwavering dedication of our employees, has seen a generous outpouring of new and gently used items to support three orphanages.
This year’s campaign underscores our core values of community support and social responsibility. Employees from across the company have come together, contributing a variety of items including clothing, footwear, toys, school supplies, daily necessities, and flagship products such as Riz Bijou and Bijou Mammy. These donations are set to benefit over 300 orphaned and disabled children at OMC AFRAD Orphanage (Yassa), Nouvelle Destinee Orphanage (Lendi), and Orphelinat Coeur de Jesus (Kotto Bangue).
The drive, which began in November, has been a testament to the power of collective goodwill. Olam Agri officials highlight that this initiative is not merely about giving back, but about fostering lasting change. By encouraging their employees to actively participate, they are cultivating a culture of empathy and responsibility.
We are thrilled to continue this meaningful tradition. Our employees have shown incredible enthusiasm and generosity. This initiative is about more than just donations; it’s about planting seeds of hope and making a tangible difference in the lives of these children. We believe that the items donated will significantly improve their living conditions and bring joy during this festive season. Last year’s edition reached over 200 children in two orphanages and we are glad to be reaching many more this year. Olam Agri is committed to sustaining such socially responsible initiatives and will continue to support local communities in the future.
