Recognising & Honouring Long-Serving Staff with Labour Medals in Cameroon
Douala, Cameroon
As part of our recognition culture, we’ve honoured our long-serving employees in an inaugural Medal of Honour Ceremony held in Douala on May 17, 2024. The Medal of Honour Ceremony recognises and honours employees for their unwavering dedication and loyalty based on their tenure – 10, 15, and 25 years of service. The prestigious ceremony was marked by the presentation of 128 medals: 11 Gold, 42 Silver-gilt, and 75 Silver, symbolising the valued years of service.
Olam Agri was honoured to be joined by the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Mr Gregoire Owona, with the support of the Governor of the Littoral Region, Mr. Samuel Ivaha Diboua, the Senior Divisional Officer of Wouri, Mr. Benjamin Mboutou, and the Divisional Officers of Douala 1er, Douala 2e, and Dibombari. Speaking at the ceremony with an opening address, the Minister of Labour and Social Security, appreciated the employees for their dedication and congratulated them for the awards. He commended Olam Agri’s collaborative efforts with the government over the years in fostering economic growth and championing food security in the country.
At Olam Agri, we value our people and are always striving to create a thriving work environment where our employees feel empowered and motivated to deliver their best. This award is a good way of recognising and rewarding employees for their loyalty to the company, and to let them know that their service and contribution to the company is deeply valued. It is important to note that aside from these medal awards, we annually acknowledge and celebrate our long serving and highly dedicated staff.
